Dear everyone of my beloved family of friends,

Burning Man is an important part of my life. It's an important part of all our lives. In some great way, it has changed us all both directly
and indirectly. It has brought us together. Many of us have been bonded through fire, music, love, dance, and art. The Man does not
burn for just short of 300 days from now, but when that day finally comes and night falls on the playa, nearly a thousand fire artists
will light the night sky.

I have spent three years in that great circle and next year will be no different. When I joined the Philadelphia community, many of you
welcomed me, a bond that has lasted through great times and unfortunate circumstances. And through it all, there is a spark I see
in many of you, the spark that allowed nearly 100 of us to spend a week together without drama, the spark that makes us grow as a family
both in quantity and in closeness, the spark that makes each of us an active participant rather than a passive observer. I saw that spark,
and I knew that the year following our landing on the esplanade could only be done right with us landing in the great circle.

While it has become more competitive for conclaves to join the great circle, I have spoken to Crimson Rose, the wonderful woman who created much of what we love today in Black Rock City. I have pledged to her the commitment, talent, and presence of us as a whole, and whether there might be a place for us around the Man in 2008.

In bringing this all together, I am announcing my intent to create a Philadelphia Fire Arts Conclave. I have long envisioned a conclave of
a new magnitude, that I never thought was possible until I met every one of you. And I know there are more of those influential people to
come. This conclave will not be about trying to create any arbitrary status. It will not be about egos, competitiveness, or skill level. In
fact, as I made clear in last year New York City conclave, ability is not as essential as dedication. This conclave will not be about drama,
nor is it a professional gig. Rather, this conclave is about is bringing together our passions in one exciting and energetic
celebratory event. A moment on the playa, together, powerful, inspiring, legendary.

In addition, I am not singling out fire performers for this conclave. If you juggle, play a musical instrument, sing, can dance, or anything
else you have passion and talent for, there may just be a place for you. Even if you don't know how you could participate, but truly want
to be involved, please let me know. If you are interested in participating, in what I believe, will be the opportunity to perform
as a family for 50,000 people, please get in touch with me via email (LuckyBurns@Gmail.com) and let me know the following:

1. Real Name:
2. Playa Name:
3. Phone:
4. Email:
5. Where you live:
6. Fire Art: (if any):
7. Experience with Fire/Fire Safety:
8. Special Talents:
9. Have you been in conclave before:
10. How likely is it you will be at Burning Man '08.

Please take some time to send me this requested information. It doesn't take long and it would be a great example of that dedication I was mentioning. If you know someone who may be interested in joining this conclave, please have them do the same.

At this point, I am only taking names of those interested. I will be keeping a list and we will begin rehearsals in January. At the end of
this year, I will get in touch with everyone who contacts me with interest.

Thanks in advance for all your support in this great endeavor.

Grindlebone Theatre is finally in process of seeking out land for our community/event space, and I'd love some suggestions for what you'd like to see in an ideal burn/performance place. We have in mind a working area of about 7 acres, with an outdoor stage, a soil stabilized dance/burning art area, a pavilion, bathrooms and showers, and a camping zone. As you look at festivals you've been to, what would you like to see, what ideas were really cool, and what ones sucked. We'd like to get as much input as we can before we get to the buying/building phase (so as to hopefully avoid the tearing down/selling phase).

Anyway, leap over to www.grindlebone.org and get a sense of what we're doing, and then come back and gimmee your suggestions on how to build the absolute perfect burn/performance/event space.
Hi All! In 2006 we performed at The Kennedy Center in DC & The Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, we stole the show at City Paper's 25th Anniversary, toured all over the United States in our new van, received grants from the Nathan Cummings Foundation and continued our work battling AIDS and Homelessness! What's in store for 2007? We're glad you asked!

For those of you who need a review, ArcheDream for HUMANKIND (ADHK) is the Philadelphia-based, non-profit, blacklight mask theatre that was formed in 2000 by Glenn Weikert and Alan Bell. We're the troupe with those super-colorful masks and costumes that present the high-energy dance theatre at performing arts centers, universities, festivals and nightclubs.

What many of you might not know is that ADHK also has a strong community outreach component and follows an Arts In Medicine Model (AIM) when we present shows (and work with children and adults at) community centers, schools, shelters, and hospices.

Sometime over the past five years, a friend or family member added you to our mailing list. Click here to see some of our amazing masks and costumes by Alan Bell!
'06 Performances

Oh, the places we did go!

We have had such a busy, productive year! Here is a list of some of our performances:

May 19, Dancing Wu Li Festival - Sharing the bill with Keller Williams and Blues Traveler, ADHK presented an excerpt of BALANCE at the Dancing Wu Li Festival in Morrisville, PA.

June 3 - July 4, Summer Tour - ADHK took BALANCE on the road! After kicking off the tour with five shows at the Rotunda supported Cinema on the University of Penn Campus in West Philadelphia, we were off to the Joseph Campbell Foundation supported Mythic Journeys Conference in Atlanta, GA. We then performed at Tsunami on the Square in Prescott, AZ and Future Studios in beautiful Sedona. The tour concluded in Denver, CO.

June 26, Gaian Mind Summer Festival - While one troupe was touring the South and Southwest, a second ADHK troupe, headed by Jacqui Tichenor and Jessica Kroboth, performed at the Annual Gaian Mind Summer Festival at the Four Quarters Farm in Artemas, PA! Quite a feat! Two troupes operating on two coasts, yay!

Sept. 10-11, Fringe Festival - This was our fourth year performing for the Philadelphia Fringe! ADHK and One presented One Dream for the second year in a row. This year's shows were held at (and co-presented by Renea Dinerman of) The International House in West Philly.

Sept. 15, Whitaker Center for the Performing Arts - We loved performing at the beautiful Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, PA! OneDream was presented by Levitt Pavilion at Harrisburg's premier performing arts center. Glenn Weikert's and Jacqui Tichenor's hometown audience showed great support, and the production received significant attention from local media. Three full newspaper articles were published in The Patriot News and The Sentinel.

Sept. 16, Kennedy Center - As part of the 30th Annual Open House seasonal opening celebration, ADHK and One presented OneDream to two sold out audiences at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC! ADHK was also featured in the midday parade and was honored to be featured with Gulf Coast artists who were affected by Katrina.

Oct. 2, PAE Baltimore - Out of hundreds of applicants, ADHK was awarded a main stage showcase to perform at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, MD.

Nov. 9, City Paper's 25th Anniversary - WOW what a party! With 1000 of it's closest friends, CP turned 25 at the Philadelphia Armory and N-Squared Productions threw the party. A dozen artists were chosen to perform at this invite only party and from their mouths to your ears "ADHK stole the show!" Thanks Noel & Nancy and Happy Birthday City Paper!

'06 Fundraising

Everyone at ADHK would like to give a big THANK YOU to all who have supported us over the years. We have been able to accomplish great things this year with the help of our donors and patrons. All we do for others is possible because of what you do for us...so THANKS! :)

Sept. 2006, Nathan Cummings Foundation - ADHK was awarded its second community grant from The Nathan Cummings Foundation. The $4850 grant was secured with the recommendation by Hannah Cummings. The first community grant for $7500 was awarded in 2005 after Hannah attended ADHK's performance of Poet's Dream at Philadelphia's renowned Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Nov. - Dec. 2006, Nathan Cummings Foundation - ADHK's first foundational grant, in the amount of $10,000 from Nathan Cummings Foundation's Buddy Fund for Justice, was awarded to ADHK's Imagine Shelter Project. Dana Betterton of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (responsible for dispersing NCF's funds) came from New York City to Philadelphia to meet with Alan, Glenn, and Jay on Nov. 10, 2006.

Nov. 18, 2006 - ADHK Benefit Auction Honoring Juanita Holiday - This year's benefit auction was held at the Philadelphia Ethical Society and was a great success! The auction yielded close to $6,000 to benefit ADHK. Our honoree, Juanita Holiday, was awarded ADHK’s first annual Community Service Award before gracing the stage with her amazing song, followed by an excerpt of BALANCE by the ADHK dancers.

'06 Community Outreach

Homeless Shelter Calendar - The above illustration is from the Homeless Shelter Calendar produced by Alan Bell with the help of men living in the RHD Ridge Avenue Shelter, this calendar features drawings (by Alan Bell) about stories of oppression, victimization, and hopelessness learned from the homeless men.
The creative process was a powerful, cathartic exercise that helped these nameless and faceless men tell their stories, overcome obstacles, and reclaim their dignity. We hope to produce and sell a limited number of calendars to promulgate these stories and honor the dignity of all.
Imagine Shelter Project - Already working in Philadelphia’s shelter system, Glenn Weikert and Alan Bell are in phase two of a plan to produce bi-monthly performances in homeless shelters. The productions have been planned, produced, and tested. We hope to conduct quarterly workshops and produce quarterly performances that will feature music, scripts, and collaborative performance efforts between the homeless and the ADHK performance troupe.
Our experience with residents of RHD's Ridge Avenue Shelter has proven that these workshops are powerful in recognizing and celebrating the dignity and creativity of everyone involved: shelter residents, audience members and our artists.
Conflict Resolution Crew - ADHK provides archetypal theatre direction for a student conflict resolution crew led by Nancy Gibson at Case High School in Racine, WI.
Alan Bell and the ADHK performers have been corresponding with the students and will visit the school in Racine for a week-long workshop in March 2007. In letters written to the conflict resolution crew, Alan tells the story of BALANCE, which includes the archetypes Duty and Desire, reflected in the whole (of humankind) and the individual, respectively. Alan has developed archetype theatre classes and ADHK performers are each creating an archetype and a skit dealing with conflict.
Performers are documenting their creative process and will use this as a model to help students create their own archetypes and skits in March. ADHK plans to turn this pilot program into a conflict resolution drama program to use in high schools all over the country.

Upcoming Events

Looking ahead at 2007

Half of our group hit up Georgia, Arizona, and Colorado. Stopping @ Rainbow Gathering '06 to finish it off. The rest of us have stayed to work for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Gaian Mind Festival '06. Both of which went over extremely well. The home crew has also been working on the remake of the Poet's Dream. Any of you who haven't seen that show, look for it soon!! Along with the addition of several new dancers and performers we are getting bigger, affecting more people and hoping to spread are wings. Eduacational residency programs about Apartheid and maskmaking to dance and physical theater are now available in our booking price. Thanks for all the support!

New Information On The September 22 Toning Event
I'd like to share something with you all today. There is a time coming up for you on September 22 of this year, 2005. You will have an opportunity to improve the quality of spiritual alignment for all Human Beings on Earth.
If you can make the tone any time of your time on September twenty second, make a tone of aaaahhhh, ooooooo, or nnnnnnn for as close as you can get to four minutes and fifty eight seconds or five minutes and two seconds or in between that - that's the best amount of time.
Of course you'll have to breathe and make the tones as best you can during that time, then it can accelerate the spiritual growth of all Human Beings on Earth to what is called a Creator's Apprentice. What this means is that your capacity to create will be increased while at the same time the safeguards on the type of creation that you do will be accentuated, meaning that you will not be allowed to create as much discomfort and disharmony as Humans have done in the past for themselves and for others. Those creations will not be supported. You will however, be able to create more harmony and more benevolence. Those creations will be supported.
This time will be stimulating, on that date September twenty second, that capability. It will work best if there are 183,982 of you doing it or more and that's already been organized somewhat. I hope those of you who read this do that. If you have any further questions about it, you can go to www.sedonajournal.com. There's an article right there on their home page.
I want to also accentuate for those of you who may not feel comfortable with things identified as New Age that this in no way interferes with religion or religious principals what ever they are. It strictly has to do with the Creator and all of us and since Creator did create us, I've been guided and inspired to pass on this information as it is something for which we can come closer to Creator.
I know we're all waiting for that time when Creator will hug us and welcome us home but while we are here in this school of Earth we have the opportunity to be the apprentice and as any good apprentice, we must learn many things and do many things before we can actually begin to learn the skills or even learn about the skills that Creator does with such well intended benevolence. Benevolent Magic, this site, is intended to expose you to as much of that as possible and it's intended, not to complicate your life but to simplify your life.
So this short contribution by you and by others, if you'd care to share it, will be something that is acceptably done anytime during your 24 hour day of September 22, whenever you'd like to do it. I feel there's a good chance that we'll make that number. If however that number is not achieved, which is not likely but is vaguely possible, then it will be possible there will be another time to do it sometime within the next three years. You won't have to wait for three years but within the next three years.
I hope you enjoy doing this and I hope you appreciate, I know I have, this new information about what this toning will do and what it will support and what will be the result. Goodlife to you all.
